Find out the exact installation date of your operating system

If you want to fi nd out the exact date of the original Windows installation on your PC, begin your research using the operating system folder's date of creation. In all probability, you will see the date 14th July, 2009. However, this information is not helpful since it is the result of duplicating older information during the installation. Click on ‘Start’ if you want to find out the actual installation date of your operating system. Then type in ‘cmd.exe’ in the ‘Search for programs and files’ fi eld. Windows then displays the command prompt. You can now type in the command ‘systeminfo’ in the command prompt and confirm the same with the [Enter] button. You will find the installation date of your operating system in the results that pop up, under the term ‘Original installation date’.
