Intel and AMD have introduced several new processors for desktop PCs. The newest entrant is that the powerful Intel Core i7-3930K. This six-core processor is nearly as fast as the top-rank Core i7-3960X, however, it costs a few thousand Rupees less – best buy for superior systems. AMD has enlarged its FX processor family with a six-core model, FX 6100 and a quad-core model, FX 4100. At present, the latter has the newest AMD architecture. It will encrypt data and supports the SSE4.1/4.2 instruction set and AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) which accelerate floating point calculations. each are designed to be used in mid-range PCs and are available within the socket AM3+ package. The new AMD A8-3870K desktop processor is pricey, however, not too convincing: it's not considerably faster than the A6-3650, however, costs Rs 2,000 more. The new Intel Core i5-2390T processor is suggested only for the employment in energy effi cient computers – it has a maximum TDP of 35 watts. If your usage is minimal (basic everyday applications only), the new entrants, Core i5-2400S and i5-2500s are very interesting. The AMD FX-8120 and FX-8150 and therefore the Intel-core i7-3820 cpu are extremely suggested for high-end PCs. The quad-core Intel Core i7-2670QM and Core i7-2760QM are still ideal for desktop replacements and gaming laptops
